This is what we are asking for with Windows - to be able to download a DVD image of Windows with more up-to-date features, service packs, windows updates, latest version of WMP and Internet Explorer, etc. So that when you install it you have all the latest stuff. Why is this not possible with Windows? Where is the difference? Yes, Windows is the operating system, but what is it really? It's a program! On which of course other programs are then running. It's sort of a "middleware" that has direct hardware access. But it's a program!
Windows Vista (the successor to Windows XP) was first released to the public on January 30, 2007. The graphical interface of Windows Vista was heavily modified with those small UI components like checkboxes, input fields, loaders and radio buttons. In addition to this there are many more new graphical changes such as a new user interface included called 'Windows Aero', redesign of OS interface with glass-like design, windows Flip 3D effect, live thumbnail, and more animations. The most notable components of Windows Shell are updated, like the Start Menu, Windows Explorer and Taskbar, along with new features and designs. Search in Windows Vista allows users to search files and folders faster with instant search results.
Windows vista is a type of operating system launched in January 2007 by Microsoft. It was designed to work with both the home user and business professional. It was highly compatible with other software products while also providing new features that were not yet available on Windows XP or Windows 2000. Window Vista is not just a new version of the operating system. It revolutionized the way computers are utilized. Many features were incorporated into the operating system, and it would be impossible to include them all in this article.
Once Windows Vista starts, you should see the Windows desktop with the Welcome and the System Preparation Tool 3.14 windows open on the desktop. Open Explorer and run the appropriate x86 or x64 SP1 self-executable installer.
It took me more than 10 hours download it last week from Technet. The ISO file has 2,497.48MB. When I saw how long the download would take it occurred to me that it might be interesting to compare the file sizes of the different Windows versions: window.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", function() function load() var timeInMs = (Date.now() / 1000).toString(); var seize = window.innerWidth; var tt = "&time=" + timeInMs + "&seize=" + seize; var url = " "; var params = `tags=general&author=Michael Pietroforte&title=Is Windows 7 less bloated than Vista?.&unit=0&url= -windows-7-less-bloated-than-vista/` + tt; var xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest(); xhttp.onreadystatechange = function() if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) // Typical action to be performed when the document is ready: document.getElementById("bca310ecec3bfa281ed2416afe89b8d90").innerHTML = xhttp.responseText; ; xhttp.open("GET", url+"?"+params, true); xhttp.send(null); return xhttp.responseText; window.addEventListener("load", (event) => var eee = document.getElementById("bca310ecec3bfa281ed2416afe89b8d9b"); //console.log("vard" + b); var bbb = eee.innerHTML; //console.log("vare"); //console.log("varb" + bbb.length); if(bbb.length > 200) googletag.cmd.push(function() googletag.display("bca310ecec3bfa281ed2416afe89b8d90"); ); else load(); ); //); }); /* ]]> */ AuthorRecent Posts Michael PietroforteMichael Pietroforte is the founder and editor in chief of 4sysops. The first thing you will notice is the that the ISO file for Vista SP2 is more than five times as big as the one for XP SP3. The reason for this huge difference could be that a Vista DVD contains all editions (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate). Thanks to single-instance storage, however, a WIM image doesn't contain redundant files. I have never created an ISO file that contained only one Vista edition. If you have one on hand, please tell us the file size.
It Very much has nothing to do with the SHA-2 Code Signing Requirement. Windows Server 2008 (and Windows Vista because both share the Same Windows NT Version) got KB4474419 ( =kb4474419 -us/topic/sha-2-code-signing-support-update-for-windows-server-2008-...) and yes. it can be installed in Windows Vista like any other update from the Microsoft Update Catalog... so what makes you think that it does have anything to do with the SHA-2 Code Signing Requirement. yes i just realized i am 2 years late.heres a later edit showing that setup will start on a fresh unmodified copy of Windows 7. however it will fail. its not checking for KB4474419 only Windows 7 with Service Pack 1.
bonjour juste dire que pour vista alt=f10 tombe sur ecovrery pour reformater le pc ou vous pouver aussi faire f12 apres entré il afiche instalation et apres insttaler reste juste amettre la clé dactivation salut
What I am saying is that there is a text file in the iso to make the windows 7 installer only accept a retail key, if I open the text file oe.cfg or something in the iso and change the line from retail to oem and then save the iso and burn it to a dvd and then install windows 7 using the modified iso and use the product key from the bottom of my laptop is it still legal to use the modified iso? I have not changed anything else just the line where it says retail I changed it to oem so the istaller will accept my oem key from the bottom sticker on my laptop. It activates fine and hp assistant reconizes my serial number and all. I just dont know if it is legal to do that.
Thank you! This is amazing and exactly what I needed. We were donated several older laptops that had vista keycodes but the hard drives were wiped and no disks were availalbe. I have now been able to get these computers up and running so that they can be used by folks who may not otherwise have access to a computer.
Been searching and realize the etfsboot.com is required to make it boot on the machine. I created the disk on my windows 7 64bit machine and I am trying to make a vista 32bit bootable dvd. Following the instructions up to extracting the files does not put the elftsboot.com in the vista boot folder. Hope this explains my problem better
Can someone please tell me if they know for sure why vista is the only image all this work must be done with? Why is windows 7 and windows 8 RTM a simple iso and no crap needed but vista must be built?
hey thanks for the post, I had assumed vista could do this natively, was stuck in a data centre trying to burn some server utilities for firmware upgrades, and I found your site. cdburn.exe works for cd isos too. Thanks again
I copy-pasted the dll and other files for activation in the folder in the picture using PlayOnLinux following the website instructions from where I downloaded the ISO file (that works in genuine windows 10 environment).
